22 Dec Deciding to Frame Your Year in Success
One of the most amazing things about memories is that they are malleable. How many times have you been speaking with a friend and talking about something in the past only to realize that you’ve forgotten a number of the details.
As it turns out, it’s possible to reframe our memories by focusing on the positive outcomes to almost any event. In this way what seemed like a negative event or series of events can turn into a positive memory.
About four years ago one of my mentors, Walt Sutton, sent me a holiday card in January with the following instructions: List the top ten things that made the past year so successful for you. I stopped when I reached 23 different reasons! Since then I’ve created a list every year around this time.
I decided to turn that card into a PDF template. You can download it here: Celebrating My Success in 2008.
