Thoughts on the Economy from the Former Chairman and CEO of American Express

I Vote No Confidence in Congress, WSJ, Nov 5, 2008

This is an op-ed piece from Harvey Golub, former Chairman and CEO of American Express speaking about the credit crisis.  His perspective is quite fascinating in that he speaks directly to the actual behaviours and actions that the general public and the financial institutions have shown and done in the past and the damage that some of the proposed plans could cause.  It’s the most comprehensive yet succinct article that I’ve read on the challenge that Obama is going to face with Congress.
