Jim Nicholson


Jim brings a clarity and steadiness to his work, cultivated by years of experience and a depth of integrity.

Jim’s experience spans broad industries and roles; he spent 26 years in senior roles with Fletcher Challenge Canada (now Catalyst Paper/TimberWest), five years as a Director at BC Hydro, and launched Nicholson and Associates Consulting in 2014, a global consulting firm.

An active member of the business community, Jim has served as Board Vice President for the Downtown Vancouver Association and chaired its Sustainability Committee. He is past Board Vice President for the North Shore Counseling Centre Society and is a longstanding member of the Vancouver Board of Trade and BC Human Resource Management Association.

Jim is a British Columbia Institute of Technology graduate, Certified Master Trainer and has completed Executive Programs at The University of British Columbia and The Kellogg School of Management in Chicago. He brings this wealth of experience to his role of facilitator at ViRTUS.

Jim is all about family, spending whatever time he can with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
